Physical Inventory Processing
The system supports multiple parts inventory counting
strategies [full count, cycle count, and individual
part(s) count] Physical inventory reports provide management
information during the physical inventory process. This
information highlights suggested part inventories with
discrepancies and inconsistencies between the system
level inventory and physical inventory levels. It provides
flexibility in determining acceptable inventory variations
(by quantity and inventory value) and when physical
inventory recounts should be conducted. Corrective measures
are provided for aligning your system inventory with
your available physical inventory levels. These adjustments
are routinelly logged and reported.
Benefits...
The system provides analysis tools to help you manage
your physical inventory and the information to determine
the sources of inventory discrepancies. The system's
physical inventory processing reduces the need for manual
resources while providing a standard, consistent and
reliable physical inventory strategy.
Self-Correcting Inventory
The
system has built-in procedures for managing inventory
discrepancies when filling dealer orders. When a part
is not found during the filling of an order, an inventory
notification "bin denial" is recorded. The system
provides the flexibility to "freeze" part allocation
while inventory discrepancies are under investigation.
These inventory discrepancies appear on daily management
reports notifying them of the need for immediate problem
resolution.
Benefits...
The system provides immediate visibility of inventory
discrepancies between system inventory and physical
inventory. The system takes precautionary measures
to limit the problem exposure until it has been properly
investigated and a resolution has been determined.
It also quickly alerts management of inventory problems
so they may rectify the situation and restore accuracy
between system inventory and available physical inventory
levels.
