Saab
asks Strategic for an Integration Solution for New
Internet IRIS system.
Saab Cars USA has chosen Strategic
to provide an integration solution for their much
publicized Internet IRIS system. With this solution,
Strategic has developed an integration between Lotus
Domino and the IBM iSeries eServer (AS/400) main vehicle system applications.
Strategic worked closely with IBM Global Services
and EDS to provide this seamless integration, which
has been optimized for Internet based transactions.
The Internet IRIS (Internet Retailer Information
System) is an Internet dealer communication system,
which allows information sharing between a web based
Lotus Domino dealer application and the e-business
serving capabilities of the AS/400. All Saab
dealers are expected to utilize the IRIS system
for business transactions, reporting and communication
capabilities.
Saab
asks Strategic to develop new Sales Incentive Module
Saab Cars USA asked Strategic to
develop a new Sales Incentive Module to help in
the management of their dealer marketing promotions
and sales activities. The Sale Incentive Module
is designed to set up marketing programs which provide
incentives to dealers for sales of Saab Cars. The
system provides Saab with the flexibility to launch
different types of marketing programs to help motivate
and reward dealers for the sales which qualify for
in the incentive program. Special reporting functions
enable Saab to analyze the effectiveness of these
incentive programs. The system has also been developed
to integrate with the J.D. Edwards accounting system
for easy payment of sales incentive monies.
Saab
Cars USA selects Strategic as Vendor for Vehicle
Distribution System
Saab Cars USA selected Strategic's
Vehicle Distribution package for their new vehicle
distribution activities. In an effort to migrate
from existing mainframe systems to the iSeries platform,
Strategic's Vehicle Distribution system was exactly
what Saab was looking for. With this arrangement,
Strategic has become an extension of Saab's IS department
with full systems maintenance and support for the
Vehicle Distribution Package. As part of this project,
Strategic developed a new dealer based ordering
system which allows dealers to place vehicle orders
to Saab for quick processing. The project also enabled
Strategic's Vehicle Distribution package to be integrated
with JD Edwards accounting software.
